KAHWA COFFEE TO FREE TAMPA BAY FROM DAILY GRIND
Tampa Bay Roaster Asks Kahwa Virgins To Take Week-Long
“Kahwa Challenge” with a Free Cup of Coffee
St. Petersburg & Tampa, FL [April 1, 2013] — Since opening their first location in 2008, St. Petersburg-based Kahwa Coffee has grown to five locations across Tampa Bay, making a name for themselves by way of great coffee, great service and a signature atmosphere.
Having awakened millions of Bay area taste buds to superior flavor, the locally owned roaster is looking to convert any remaining Kahwa virgins with a week-long “Kahwa Challenge.” Freeing thousands of coffee drinkers from their daily grind, all five Tampa Bay locations will be offering up free coffee April 1st through 7th, 2013 to first-timers. From iced coffees and lattes to cappuccinos and a fresh cup of their signature blends, if you haven’t tried it before, the first one is on Kahwa.
In addition to a reputation built on quality and service, Kahwa locations have quickly become social meccas for community and business networking. Alongside neighborhood regulars, politicians often frequent Kahwa locations to connect with constituents while businesspeople can be seen talking shop and closing deals.
Voted the “Best Coffee in the Bay” by Creative Loafing readers three years running, the week-long Kahwa Challenge is sure to delight morning commuters and afternoon boost seekers with a hefty communications plan that includes paid social media, ground team efforts and TV spots on Bay News 9, CNN, CNBC and MSNBC.
Kahwa began roasting in St. Petersburg in 2005 and continues to roast all of its beans at the local production site. Its first café opened in downtown St. Pete in 2008, and a second opened across town two years later. In 2012, Kahwa crossed the Bay with two locations in downtown Tampa, and its fifth location opened at Bayfront Medical Center in early 2013.
All cafés offer specialty drinks, Kahwa coffee by the pound and a selection of French pastries, organic cookies and muffins as well as indoor and outdoor seating and free WiFi. Kahwa Café South in downtown St. Pete and Kahwa Café at Rivergate Tower in downtown Tampa offer a lunch menu of fresh sandwiches and salads.
