With 12 cafes and over 800 hospitality clients across the U.S., Kahwa Coffee is one of the fastest growing coffee brands to come out of Florida. Already served in a number of popular Miami establishments, including Metropolitan Hotel by Como and Crumb on Parchment by Michelle Bernstein, Kahwa opened their first cafe outside of the Tampa Bay area in Miami at 1701 Purdy Avenue in Miami Beach on Wednesday, March 21st.
“Kahwa Coffee is always in my kitchen at home, and now in the city that I call home,” said celebrity chef and TV Host Ingrid Hoffmann. “Having one of their cafes in Miami is long overdue.”
The Golden Bean winning brand’s new store marks the 13th location and first outside of Tampa Bay since opening their flagship cafe in downtown St. Petersburg in 2008. Since then, locations have grown steadily across the Bay area from downtown Tampa to downtown Sarasota.
In addition to great coffee, the new Miami cafe will also feature prepared foods and baked goods sourced from local purveyors, including Zak the Baker. Following this week’s soft opening to the public will be a grand opening celebration, date to be determined.
Kahwa is also sold by national retailers including HSN and enjoys strong brand partnerships with household names such as 3 time All Star baseball player, Evan Longoria and legendary TV pitchman, Anthony Sullivan. Their brand can also be found in luxury brand establishments including the Amangiri Luxury Hotel and Resort in Canyon Point, Utah and Grace Bay Resort and Sailrock Resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
“Having been a part of Miami’s restaurant scene for several years now, we’ve been looking for right the opportunity to open a cafe,” said Kahwa Co-Founder, Raphael Perrier. “We’re not only thrilled to be in Miami, we’re honored for the opportunity.”
